Hay Day 2017
Wednesday, July 12th, 2017
Blue Valley Ranch
Mountain Meadows Hay Day is a joint educational effort between CSU Extension, Middle Park Conservation District, North Park Conservation District, and Routt County Conservation District. It is held every other year in one of the three counties. 2011 was the last time it was held in Grand County, and it’s our turn again.
During the daylong event, hay producers from Grand, Jackson, and Routt counties learn from the experts about various hay-related topics. This year’s talks will include: Zach Schwalbe speaking about CoAgMet; Kelcey Swyers speaking on Beef and Horse Nutrition; Max Schmidt speaking about PAM (Polyacrylamide); and Joe Brummer speaking on Rotational Meadow Dryup, Irrigation Management, and Fertilizer.
In the afternoon, we have a US Tractor & Harvest coming down from Craig to show off their latest and great equipment, and Tanner Matheson will be demonstrating a new Square Bale Spinner his family designed.
The event is FREE; however, we ask you to please RSVP by Wednesday, July 5th, so we can get a head count for lunch.
RSVP to Katlin at firstname.lastname@example.org or 970-531-0127.
