Middle Park WATER Conservancy District Looking for Board Members
The Middle Park Water Conservancy District is looking to fill a couple of vacant seats on the board of directors for Middle Park. Stan Cazier’s term expired last January and is still unfilled, and Sean Flanigan passed away suddenly in September.
To be qualified to sit on the MPWCD board, you must own property in Grand or Summit Counties, be knowledgeable about water in Colorado, and live generally in the areas where the previous director lived. For the Grand County position - they need someone from the Hot Sulphur, Granby or Grand Lake areas. For the Summit County position, they need someone from the north end of Summit County.
If you or someone you know would be interested - please contact Kent Whitmer for more information - kent@jvamlaw.com. You may learn more about MPWCD at www.middleparkwcd.com.
NOTE: Middle Park WATER Conservancy District (MPWCD) is different than Middle Park Conservation District (MPCD). The Water Conservancy District is a water right holder and works to preserve and secure water rights in Middle Park. Middle Park Conservation District help private landowners with conservation projects on their land.
