From mid-October through December 31, 2025, the Headwaters Center in Winter Park will be hosting a photo exhibit called Living River: The Promise of the Mighty Colorado River.

This 20-piece photography collection brings the story of the Colorado River Basin to life—illuminating its beauty, fragility, and the vital need to protect this essential watershed. The exhibit will remain on display from October through December 2025.

Dave Showalter is a Senior Fellow of the International League of Conservation Photographers and has dedicated his career to revealing the deep connections between landscapes, wildlife, and people. His acclaimed works, including Sage Spirit, Prairie Thunder, and Living River, blend science, storytelling, and breathtaking imagery to inspire stewardship of the natural world.
